Christina from Arts4Refugees talked with Cassia- a student journalist with us. This placement was organised by Oxford University Career Services. Cassia is a final year student studying English at New College, Oxford University. She has previous student journalism experience and wanted to use her writing skills to help share the refugee experiences. The arty refugee she chose to research and write about was the Spanish poet Luis Cernuda.
Luis had to leave Spain, his homeland, due to the Spanish Civil War and had to live in exile for the rest of his life. His style of poetry changed throughout his life.Â
