Back Story
Mika is a 39-year-old singer-songwriter and TV presenter, was born Michael Penniman. In 1984, his family fled Beirut due to the civil war, moving to Paris and later splitting their time with London. He showed musical talent early, writing his first song at seven. In 2008, he won a Brit Award and received a Grammy nomination. His debut album, Life in Cartoon Motion (2007), sold over eight million copies, with โGrace Kellyโ reaching number one in the UK. Mika continues to release music, with his latest album in 2019, and has expanded into TV, judging on The Voice France and The X Factor Italy, and hosting Eurovision. Since 2014, he has worked with the UNHCR, supporting Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Mikaโs creative and humanitarian efforts highlight the potential of providing safe homes and education for refugees.
