Ciao beautiful people,
What do you think of the new image? Let’s quickly talk you through some important changes there. The A4R image was created by Taya - out in house volunteer video guru. She has been displaced from Ukraine and is now rebuilding her life in Dublin. She designed and created this logo. Don’t forget to tell your friends on all the hard work she has been doing behind the scenes here.
You may have noticed WSV logo is no longer in the supporting us section. They have been absorbed into Dot Glasses. Just to highlight we will carry on with raising funds and use them to co create new financial inclusion services with other partners locally if we can no longer work with the team in the region.
It was great working with WSV - we co created interest free, collateral free micro loans providing entrepreneurship training, inventory and business mentoring locally in Northern Uganda. 4 micro businesses have been successfully set up with them in the post conflict community of Lira, Uganda.

Here is pic of Betty - the first refugee we supported. with WSV. She received training, inventory and business mentoring to set up a local business. She rented out solar lamps to her local community. Here is a blog post from Paul a volunteer based in Uganda covering this first business we set up with WSV - link here. Don’t forget to tell your friends about our work as well.

We have been awarded the Gold Standard Internship host by Oxford University Career Services. We would like to thank the students for their time and commitment in helping us bringing the refugee expereince into the mainstream using journalism. We have hosted 60 students from Oxford University to date with more joining us later in the year.
The arty refugees from the last 100 years they researched and wrote about have been converted into a Quiz by GenZ’s in the post conflict region of Lebanon. So, not only is there work helping to educate and inform their peer groups, but also creating vocational work for their peer groups in post conflict regions. 👏 The refugee experiences articles they have researched and highlighted are helping counter fake news and helping their peer group understand current issues of the day.
This is our current team of student journalists’ from War Studies department at King’s College, London. They researching and writing about post conflict experiences from across the world. We can’t wait to share their work with you.
