Post-war Sri Lanka left 300,000 Tamil refugees in harsh camps. Women and children faced severe overcrowding, sexual violence, and acute malnutrition. Yet, they refused to be passive victims. Children formed camp parliaments to solve resource problems. Women bravely testified to the UN and led protests to rebuild their community.
